Awaiting the England Squad for the upcoming world cup.  Hart at least seems to have been dropped   and reports of Wiltshire not going either     time for youth me thinks

Rumours  although tentative  that Leon Bailey could be in the squad    Ripping the german league up  at the moment  would be quite a shock

England squad confirmed  no surprises which is a shame   quarters at best i expect   

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford (Everton), Jack Butland (Stoke), Nick Pope (Burnley)

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose (all Tottenham), Harry Maguire (Leicester), Phil Jones (Man Utd), John Stones (Man City), Gary Cahill (Chelsea)

Midfielder: Jordan Henderson, (Liverpool), Eric Dier, Dele Alli (both Tottenham), Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young (both Man Utd), Fabian Delph (Man City), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea),

Forwards: Raheem Sterling (Man City), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Man Utd), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal).

 

Lallana on stanby if anyone gets injured.  The irony

While its  a slow work day  ive just taken a look at the squad in  a little more in depth    regardless of what postion the above post puts them in  it might be argued that southgate has picked  13 defensive minded players  not including keepers.  All of the defense  including  Dier,Henderson,Delph, Loftus cheek, Young   the only  Creativity wise we have in midfield is   Alli (who hasnt had the best of seasons)   were is Shelvey?.

It does a bit  I expect he will play 3 at the back  2 wide wingbacks 2 holding midfielders   (Dier Henderson)  and 3 up top..  I still dont understand why Welbeck..  Still they might surprise us
