Looks good on paper I'm bemused by ppn charts by the lack of it. I'm not expecting a stampede of showers but you'd be very unfortunate to not see anything on Saturday a brisk easterly with a slight ENE element expect showers to go well inland when they form some being fairly hefty too. The waters off Kent stretching to Suffolk are several degrees above average - which is good to create that instability a plus of this dreadful winter.

Yeah I saw on your post that it was just to the left but was amazed how bright it was . Funny enough my 3 year old daughter is massively into planets at the moment and thanks to a web site that streams songs she now knows so much that I'm and her nursery teachers are astounded . She said to me only today . Did you know daddy that Jupiter and Saturn have 62 moons ( crazy )

Disappointingly high tomorrow's forecast maxes of 7-8C, given the SE will be under -8C at 850 mb. I suppose the higher and slightly stronger sun in late Feb helping. At least the nights are getting colld still.

It's starting to look like another boring average spell, with very little if any action. Roll on winter 2016-2017:drunk-emoji::reindeer-emoji:

BBC London weather and Carol Kirkwood this morning have us dry right through the next 5 days. Temperatures 7/8/9c over the weekend. Did I miss something? How on earth is this a cold spell.

If you want snow head to Iberia/north Spain - the irony.

I miss Montreal already, proper cold and buckets of snow.

Does seem to be the case why I never bought into the massive hype in the model thread. In fact, most on this thread didn't buy it. Just looks dry frosty and sunny (will feel very pleasant mid afternoon in any sun) which I don't mind! But the weekend looks raw, cloudy anf dull.. Yay

A wonderful crisp start to the day. Garden is frozen solid after an overnight min of -3.8C. This morning's Sat24 image shows most of the UK under clear skies but with some high cloud around Cambs/Beds and shower clouds piling down the North Sea with a few getting into north Norfolk.

Yes, tv forecasts seem to be emphasising just how pleasant it will feel in any sunshine. Miles better than Atlantic dross at least

Yep down to -2.5c, everything lovely and white to wake up to.
Far better than will it wont it marginal snow, like the weekend.
Windy raw cold easterlies, with drizzle/pos sleety wet snow, no chance of anything good.
Bring on early spring with lovely sunny days and some frost at night.

Morning all,

It was coldest morning I have seen this winter in Southend at -3 degrees around 5:00am when I left, passing through Melton Mowbray at 7:30am the car's thermometer hit -7 degrees.  All in all a very nice bright but cold and frosty morning, lovely.....

Cheers

FC

Just walked to the shops on lunch break without a coat. Feels very comfortable out of the shade and in the sun. Not sure whether it's because I've been used to -15c by day in Montreal or it does actually have a spring feel out there.

Either way roll on Spring, let this dreadful wet mild winter say goodbye.
