We just had a heavy shower here, otherwise it has been a decent and pleasant day. A high of 19C.

This morning's weather not as bad as I feared after watching the beeb forecast earlier. Plenty of sunny spells about, just a gentle breeze and temp up to 14.9C already. But I see a blob of cloud coming down the North Sea and overlapping eastern counties - I hope it doesn't mean a cloudier, cooler afternoon.

Well this is turning into a day of surprises! There's just been a really heavy shower here with monster raindrops and hail. It only took 5 minutes for my patio to disappear under half inch of water. I was expecting the heavy stuff to be "down the spine of the country", as per the beeb forecast.

So I pop on the radar and watched how the shower responsible developed out of nothing in the space of 45 minutes. It still seems to be developing with Essex and Kent in the firing line.

super drying weather chaps, what what, one load dry and sorted one almost dry.*snort*

Feels very pleasant out, a lot of cloud building at times and the bedford breeze as brisk as ever. Doesn't feel at all cold in the garden.

Hopefully this will allow a colours wash tomorrow. \0/

Lovely day here so far. Good sunny spells and feels very warm in the sun.

Hopefully any pointless showers will bypass here and it remains dry. Got a 10k run tonight.

Has some light showers this morning, then it cleared to cumulus, which has now developed into more light showers. Looks like they may get heavier soon. Any cloud is very slow moving, so if a heavy shower does come along it will be over whoever for a while.

So here I am, in my storm free zone, with bright sunshine behind me and a threatening darkening sky in front of me. Will I FINALLY get to see some storm action ???.........

Well cloud did build up and there were a few showers around but the wind has backed more east of north which has dragged the cloud away leaving a sunny end to the day.

Nice line of heavy, thundery showers, moving south. Right down the spine of the country; in fairness exactly as forecast this morning by the Met Office. Looks like my shower here in Suffolk earlier this afternoon turned out to be a one-off blip.

Very slow moving intense downpour went through norbury . I'm soaked just walking for the train a couple of rumbles of thunder for good measure too

Are you still in Wembley? The storm is on my doorstep that Mesoscale just had, but it is quickly running out of juice, will be left with nothing at this rate.
