Another beautiful start to the day with cloudless blue sky. Shame it won't last. Down to 1.1C overnight, but no sign of ground frost by the time I surfaced at 06.30. I'm looking forward to peeping at the thermometer at this time of the morning and it's already up to 18C with the forecast for a hot and sunny summer's day.  :)

Almost got a frost last night, hit 2c, nice sunny morning here, looks like anything and everything will fall out of the sky later.:cold:

clear as bell, bedford breeze feels cooler today, I don't think it's quite as humid. This time yesterday the sky here already had clouds, so will just have to wait and see.

*prays to thor for a bang or two today*

Yes, lots of confusion yesterday. Reports of snow in central London was actually Soft Hail as confirmed by BBC this morning.

Many other locations reporting snow across our region yesterday was in actual fact soft hail. I was up at Luton (elevated) yesterday and can confirm it was soft hail - But it can very much look like snow.

Yep I went out too look, cause looking out of the window you can't really see the little balls rolling in the wind after they land. I'm sure there was one or two flakes init though, but mostly graupel in the one here. Kept wanting to laugh when my kids got home from school exited cause it had snowed earlier lol..

Showers appear to be taking a touch longer to get going today. Some sunny spells but pretty chilly in the shade at only 10C. Should be a good 5C higher by now.

According to latest radar there should have been at least 3 showers passing overhead within the last hour. Its very bright and bone dry.

Hopefully it turns into a nice afternoon, feels very pleasant in the sun

Just had a sleet shower here, not like a winter one, more like unformed hail or graupel. Very wet Ice.

So I'm In Tunbridge Wells last night and what do I witness. Well firstly it was quite warm sun, then a random hail shaft that lasted about 10 seconds, then hot sun and before I know it a blizzard and thundersnow.

The showers here were all bark and no bite to be honest. A lot of great cloudscapes but the showers have only been light and of rain.

Well after saying that today has been fairly dry it has been raining now for the last 45 minutes and it appears to be turning wintry.

Had a very heavy shower of snow in burgess hill about 30 minutes ago, and thunder at same time. 

looking very black again so could be bit more yet, snow has even settled despite it being 5.7c, melting fast obviously

Nothing here today, apart from a succession of spectacular-looking Cbs that all delivered zilch. Very frustrating!
