Lovely sunny start here and it's just reached 10.4C so already as warm as yesterday's poor effort. Quite a stiff SE'ly from the word go though.

Tomorrow afternoon looking to have some interest, with Alex on the Beeb suggesting scattered thunderstorms that "could possibly be intense". Arpege and NMM confirm some unstable air over the Region.

Cloudy and damp first thing, more prolonged rain around lunchtime and sunny spells now! A mix and match day, that's for sure.

Interesting tomorrow, with sunshine and showers. BBC has their lightning symbol showing, so hopefully some good convectional activity!

Bit of a write-off today for any outdoor activities. Started dry and cloudy, then the rain set in around midday, quite heavy at times. Stopped now and trying to brighten up. At least it felt very mild with barely any wind. Tomorrow looks interesting storm-wise....

Just looks like heavy-ish rain to me. Thundery stuff is further south in France, moving up towards us, hopefully tomorrow will see some nice convection with some sun forecast :D

Good spells of sunshine here though with a stiff ESE wind through the day. It did cloud over from mid afternoon with a little rain during the evening.

Skies clearing here from the S after early cloud and some overnight rain. Looks like a nice warm day with potential for some convection later....:bomb::D

Sky starting to brighten here and feels very mild.

Hopefully the scattered showers forecast this afternoon will miss here entirely and we get a drier day compared to yesterday.

The sun has only recently come out here and after the overnight/morning rain it's feeling very humid. The "potential" is already showing its hand. A line of storms appeared very quickly in the last couple of hours with the lightening registering on the Blitzortung radar. Seem to be heading E/NE. A very good chance others will develop in due course.

Feels so odd today, mist this morning, humid one minute, cold wind the next - can't take my eyes off the various clouds. A storm just a fraction north of here, more soon hopefully (even though I'm working outside!!)

Quite a cluster in the Home Counties and another cell has bubbled up in Kent in just the last half hour.

There was a dark-ish cloud which drifted NE over us a little while ago, though it wasn't producing anything at the time.

EDIT:  On checking the radar, I see there was a shower, but it just missed us, hence why I thought the cloud wasn't producing any ppn.

I watched that line of storms build to my N-NW, the cauliflower-type towers went up quite quickly and looked very impressive! Has stayed warm and quite sunny here.
