The National Grid map for the SE is starting to look busy.

5,000 homes in Essex without power at the moment.

It's really ramped up here now. I had to go out into the garden to stop a shed door flying off, it looks unusually dark towards Clacton. Saw a flash towards Mersea Island which, I assume, is another power line down.

My lights just dimed, twice now, think may be my power might go soon, hope not.

Highest gust 74 mph now, must have been what dimmed my lights.

max gust 76 mph now. When this thing peaking?

I think personally the strongest winds will come in the wrap around when it exits but a little way to go yet, she is flexing her muscles now

Like you just posted in storm thread down to 970mb I wonder if she goes any lower.. That's lower than what the gfs and Euro4 have her at

This thing is scaring the crap out of me lol, keeps growing then waning loopydreamer, will probably liven again soon. It's going crazy here at the min. Strongest gusts seem to be when the rain is heavy.

Certainly a storm to remember here to the roar I can't get over not much sleep for me!

Up now anyway and Katie will be turning and exiting us, which we have to keep a close eye on any potential Sting Jet
