Stunning here in the centre of town apart from the nagging breeze.

Agree regarding winter - bring on the +20c days now!

Patchy Cloud here but some sunny spells with a chilly NE'ly wind. I can see why people are hanging onto Winter the way the Easter charts look at present in FI, I wouldn't rule it out, probably had more White Easters than we have had Christmas.

The concern currently is we might be looking at the 2nd half of Spring before we get anything notably mild.

Early low cloud burnt away very quickly today to leave another sunny day. It is a shame that good things like this tend to come to an end too soon. A lot more cloud expected tomorrow as the winds come from the north east.

Beautiful sunny day here, despite the annoyingly strong and chilly E'ly breeze. Didn't top 10C but in the sun it felt lovely :)8)

Well according to the latest BBC TV forecast it may end up another sunny afternoon here tomorrow and Wednesday. Improvement on what was forecasted yesterday.

Cloud probably a lot slower to break up then recent days but who cares. A partly cloudy day and dry = yes please.

Beats the Atlantic wet mild grey dross anyday.. Long may it continue! Love being able to walk the dogs in dry conditions.

Wonderful Spring day reinvigorating with E/NE breeze very pleasant in the sunshine, no air pollution hoorah...

ECM at day 10 shows a bracing northerly I'll take it I'm sure there would be blue skies, just that bit colder like today with convection. I'm not fussed with what the weather does there's more troubling matters to worry about, plenty of time for warmth what's the rush? :)

Great start to the day here, early cloud has melted away leaving sunny skies and the vile wind isn't howling (yet) :)

Edit: I spoke too soon, the North Sea muck has rolled in spoiling the sunshine, boo...

Grey, cold start here and 5.9C. The stiff breeze of yesterday hasn't picked up again (yet!). Beeb forecast this morning suggesting the cloud cover will be reluctant to break over much of East Anglia today, but the SE should do better. A look at the Sat24 cloud cover satellite shows the overall situation nicely. Thin grey sea-fog/cloud in the North Sea, some thicker cloud over our Region at the mo, but South Wales and the SW having a lovely morning. Look at that lovely clear patch south of Scandanavia as cold, dry air moves off the land mass. It will be interesting to see if that makes any further progress towards us, or gets filled in as it travels over the sea. (Nice sight of the snow over the Alps too!).

Well today has been grey and overcast throughout. Tomorrow and Thursday look a little better as we see a more easterly element to the wind which is crucial to bring some drier and brighter air in over our region.

It's been a cloudy day here today with drizzle at times, much warmer that I thought though, high of 9.5, temp now down to 5.7. Hasn't felt as windy today, winds generally gusting around 30 mph.

A lot colder than forecasted all due to stratus cloud persisting all day NASA imagery below captures the North Sea crud quite well. Today's high 8C quite chilly, but bearable.

Yuck of a day, as in i still feel yuck and the coolness and drizzle wasn't helping. Looked and felt more like winter than winter did.

For dinner we had ham, green beans and potato bake with some chips. It's quite surprising that in the U.S this is a 'comfort food' casserole that uses left overs, while this well know store changes over six quid for it and called it bristo.

But it's quite nice.

The cloud really suppressed the temps here today compared with much of the country.

Started off with blue sky but it clouded over again thanks to the finger of cloud over our Region. Overnight min 5C.
Sat24 satellite image shows the clear sky will return to eastern coastal areas very soon and continue to move west so we should all enjoy sunshine later this morning.

It isn't often that you'll find a GFS chart showing absolutely NO precipitation over or around the UK, but here's one for this Friday. But don't worry - there's the Easter Bank Holiday weekend coming up and it's looking like normal service will be resumed!!  :nonono:
