Given how mild it was yesterday, 12C, at one point in the afternoon, it was always going to be a struggle to drop the temperature enough in such a short space of time to allow snow to fall to lower levels today from a polar maritime flow. USA can see sudden drops of temp in a few hours with warm conditions one minute and snowing the next once a potent cold front moves through, but with our maritime it rarely happens in a NW flow at this time of year. If it were mid December, prospects may have been better though. We could see something icy in the form of hail fall from the sky today though :D

Def a bit of sleet mixed in these showers here but you need a trained eye (and a velux window) to spot it!

Just had a rumble thunder here in Croydon, can't work out if it's an inbound or departing shower. Bring on the hail and maybe wet snow too :)

Really exciting getting snowflakes in rain.

At least get excited for a proper snow shower even if it does melt in 2 mins.

Thats what you should expect in March/April in north westerlies.

Blimey this is a winter of total poo.

Take out December and its not even that warm, just never cold.
