They say manufacturing has gone downhill in Britain, but you've got to admit the Snow Shields here in the South East are of very high quality.

I've heard they are the best, only bettered by those in Dubai! LOL:D

I won't bother watching my lampost as marginal means I'm to close to the sea for snow, plus it's not working anyway. Fingers crossed for some proper snowy cold at some point.

I wouldn't be saying that in your location..

The problem you will face is being to far East, temp wise your actually closer to the colder conditions and the continual feed!

Amazing how we all get excited about a event that will last a few hours.

If the snow did come and lay it would last 2 hours tops.

2 hours of heavy snow would be enough for me, can get 2 or 3 inches in 2 hours of the right kind of snow.:)

12z runs seem to have shifted the snow further towards the east, even GEM shows snow which is pretty rare for them to get the old snow symbols out.

It's so close and if we actually get the conditions would be the best event for years!

Will await tomorrows runs for any more info on it from me

Just watched Louise Lear doing the updated BBC forecast, said it will get very interesting in the SE and showed mainly snow over London fading away east on Thurs morning.

Could that front stall over us I wonder?

Hah, I'm actually positive about this one, I think we will get frontal snow out of it and with the continental feed it will all be snow although won't amount to too much

;)

12z Euro4 says NO! Three downgrades on a trot, what a waist of time!

Evening everyone, another beautiful chilly day today, temps dropping quickly now 2.9 and dp -0.2.

The beautiful clear skies have promoted me to get the telescope out, it's cloudy at the moment but should clear a bit later, hoping for a good view of Jupiter.

looking forward to a little bit of excitement tomorrow/Thursday even if it's wet excitement! :acute:

chilli, rice and crusty bread this evening!

It's my birthday tomorrow, so I think the weather gods owe me big time over the past few winters!

On a serious note I think there will be many twists and turns in the next 24 hours. Expect the unexpected I say.

Ha you are not the only one :p

Fingers crossed that the front will stall and turn to snow and be heavy enough to deliver at least a dusting.
