Hi, I overslept :shok:

My radar has it as snow/sleet likely rain near coast.

A juicy blob I'll be back on later..

Good example in the latest radar of how the heavier precipitation (over EA) can pull down the temps sufficient to turn the rain/sleet to some back-edge snow.

Sleet has started here in south Suffolk. Getting a bit late now tho as the temp is on the up - was 2.4C earlier, now 3.3C.

Had few very light wet snow/ sleety showers. only twice this winter it's happened.  Getting excited about a shower of rubbish now :D

Wet snow showers for the last 45 minutes or so here, some heavier promising bursts, just a shame it started off more 'rain' and the ground become wet'. Also guessing ground not chilled enough to actually settle. I'm guessing this will be about as good as it gets, but a nice surprise and will certainly have the other 4/5 year olds in my son's class exicted this morning!

Oh please no more wind, it's destroying bubs wendy house. I don't know how you can get excited by wind. It's windy 300 odd days of the year here.

For storm enthusiats like myself, if you could have a storm like the above, with no damage that would be ideal! But you can't, I love all types of weather.. But the one thing I hate is like today quiet, cloudy, cold BORING :(

Some did see snow! unfortunately much of it fragmented to NW and arrived later than modelled.

I shall say now that Bedford is the worst place for thunder, so one moan fits all.

As soon as I saw the pink on the radar i was off to the window, but i think if there had been any snow i'd missed it, as what was hitting the window didn't look snowy. Gone from  very chilly this morning to still chilly, but i dare say when i found the sun there was a bit of warmth there.

Snow in MK was at around 6:30 am and over in a matter of minutes, was nice to see though.

Looks like the very nasty storm modelled on the 0z GFS has disappeared, thankfully! Not the first time this has happened this winter.

Edit: Oops, 18z has brought it back again, not quite so bad for us with N France, Germany, Benelux getting hit worse.

Something to keep an eye on.

Bedford gets on average more days of thunder than 80-90% of the country.
