Interesting, most of Liverpool is in this warning, wasn't this morning. Liverpool Airport is 1c cooler than it's been forecast today. Don't know how anyone is saying game over. Fronts always have light scattered ppn ahead of them, the main front isn't even near us and is not expected until after 6pm at the earliest.

I love your optimism Snowy but I think you might be clutching at straws mate.

I'm clutching at straws by listening to the Met Office? I don't expect any snow for my area tonight but I'm pretty confident of heavier ppn tonight.

This is the best kind of snow! Not a breath of wind, proper fluffy dry flakes :D

You may well be right...I just think there are times to listen to the forecast and times to trust what you see......the main front you talk of is going to have to pop up out of nowhere....

The snow/rain band is a good 50-75 miles further east than initially progged, thus so is the milder uppers off the irish sea.

Fortunately it should be a good night for west yorkshire now :D who was suppost to just be on the periphery.

As it stands also the band for Monday looks to be similar in terms of where the boundary of rain to snow sits

Very light snow here now but hopefully more to come during the next few hours although if not, at least we've had a covering which may last for a day or so.
