Light snow here. Nothing too exciting at the moment.

I'm not liking this speedy East to West progress, hopefully the Pennines will stall it.

Thats what I thought, sometimes the radar doesnt do what you expect, but it certainly looks like there wont be too much more here

You mean west to east.

It has moved further east than the models suggested but there is still some on the way from the northwest.

So how far east is this going to get..... is it expected to stall over our region

It is expected to stall, but it has got a little further east so far. Still, it is heading NW to SE'wards so should be lots of ppn to come :) hopefully pepping up a bit. Definitely an evening for radar watchin.

Light snow has started and it's readily sticking to frozen ground :)

Game over west of Manchester. The front is miles further east than forecast.

Just been for an hour walk round the edge of Nantwich and was rain/sleet all the way.  Even though it wasn't snow I really enjoyed walking in it, as there was a beautiful eerieness as there was absolutely no wind and you could hear the sleet hitting leaves etc.  It's actually blue skies here now, so temps will drop.  I genuinely don't care now if it does or it doesn't snow later.  Anything would be a bonus! lol

some people are never happy , how can it be game over when it wasn't forecast until 1500 ,  Irish sea is full of moisture .

Quite a bit further east when compared to the NetWx-SR.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
