As others have said, white out in Salford in the heavy snow, now at work in Manchester city centre and it is snowing heavy, but not settling as well. Makes a change, as usually it is sleet and slush in city centre!

Sholver here.. roads are pretty bad around Oldham even down is Shaw pal.  A mate got stuck on Bullcote lane and came home, lots didn't even bother and the as per usual gritters are stick to the main roads. Not sure about the main roads like Ripponden.

Wind is westerly. Mixing out uppers and surface temps
