First bits of light snow falling here now.  In fact other than hail, this is the first snow falling this winter.  Let's hope it's the start of good things to come.  Maybe so with the cold being more stubborn to move away next week

Tiny little granules falling now. Had really big proper snow before.

Heavier stuff seems to be over west Scotland. Hopefully making its way down in couple of hours.

Very light snow just started here. Wasn't late Jan 2015 better in your location, WH? It was here anyway.

We got snow from it but Boxing Day 2014 was rain to snow and to get a covering from that scenario and how marginal it was, was due to how intense the snow was.

In golborne BT, going home to Knowsley after this, apparently it's been raining the whole time! Met office said ppn will stop after dawn so we've got a few hours left!

At least it's stopped melting when it hits the ground, just a light dusting though.

Higher ground naturally faring better, but hopefully as temps fall later on (and fingers crossed the precipitation sticks around) lower ground should see it sticking a little.  Let's not overdo it though, it's not going to be 'foot' fall territory like the fabled 2010/13 years.
