Liverpool still have snow in the forecast, but mixed with rain throughout.

Even though both airports are not a million miles away from each other Manchester airport is a full degree colder with both the temp and dew right now. That can make a world of difference to what one gets.

I've looked at the TV forecasts, on line forecasts and read comments on NW and the only thing which seems likely is that we don't have much idea on who will get what during the next 24 hours.

even by the standards set over the last few winters, this is marginal on a massive scale with some getting pasted while others just get soaked and it's more a case of opening the curtains in the morning and see if it's wet, white or even bone dry.

My gut feeling hasn't changed though and even at my altitude, I'm going for little more than a possible covering of something and nothing more than that.

and even for that scenario we need a decent drop in temperatures before to much rain sets in.

I can hear rain !!! :sorry:

Just to be clear: it was always going to be rain until after midnight at least.  It could well stay as rain all the way, or it might not.   That's basically where we are right now  lol

Certainly something brewing, for the region.

BBC NWT have had to bring a different forecaster in, one who can actually to say the word snow without it coming out as mild.

Well  it seems you have to be a mild ramper to be a forecaster for  this region so I doubt I'd get very far lol. :-(

New to all this though followed this for years! If anyone can tell me how to add my location that'd be sweet! I'm based in south Liverpool current temp 8c so no chance here without a massive drop , currently raining lightly

You need to go your personal Netweather profile page, then look at the small type at the top right, click on "edit my profile" where you can add location etc.

I've always had a bit of a thing for Clair Nazir but it's a long while since I was so impressed with her graphics.

Heavy rain, ever so slightly sleety, wouldn't be able to tell if it wasn't for the skylight though.

I'd put up with Fred Talbot if he was forecasting a foot of snow and gale force easterly winds.
