Has a short period of wet sleety snow this morning, then it quickly turned to rain, and that's what we've had since.

Yep back to the drawing board for us again SP. I think next Winter is our next hope now realistically

Travelling from Birchwood to Scarborough by train at the moment. Snow in Birchwood had turned mainly to rain when I left at 12.50, still snowing hard in Manchester 15 mins later. Thick snow out of Manchester to Stalybridge and up to the Standedge tunnel portal. Once you come out the tunnel on Huddersfield side there is just a covering now

Through Huddersfield towards Leeds it has stopped snowing and there is just a little left on the embankments but roads are clear. At Leeds it's clear, just on outskirts now

Picture is view from train between Manchester and Stalybridge

Still snowing here although daytime max temps are hitting their peak currently. but i'm expecting to see the current sleet in lower areas turn back to snow for those areas if PPN still persists past sunset.

Still snow in romiley. But apparently it's turning to rain in reddish Stockport,

Still very much snow in Eastern Stockport. 4 inches on the ground. Been non stop since at least 8am. Similar to the late Jan 2015 snowfall. Amazing!

Grrr... it's turned to rain now, won't take much of this to turn everything soft and fluffy to wet and slushy!

True but the lack of reports on here suggests to me its thawing

At a fast rate of knots, and Meto eere Correct when they said

Temporary accumaltaions on low ground.

No matter winter or lack of it is offically over as from now

The towel has entered the ring.

My attention now is on spring/summer

Well thats me done for another season have a great summer

Stay safe, and i will be back next winter for more pain and

Agony.
