Just measured the snow depth on my Car roof at work (chadderton) it measured 17 cm's  Most of that would have come from Moorside so god knows how much is up there now!

IMG-20160304-WA0018.jpg

Note there is at least 1 cm at the end of the rules that is not part of the measurement. Hence 15.5 rather than 16.5cm

Precipitation on the radar is nothing like it actually is here, just a drizzle!

It achieved it's purpose then lol :D

Radar showing everything exiting stage right, but still very slow progress and continuing light snowfall.

Looks to me like this is still pivoting over us and won't be going anywhere quickly.

I can also see a few heavier pieces of ppn pepping up over the north east that we may be able to drag into the equation.

They seem to think it will stop at 3pm, but it might last a bit longer than that for some.  I just hope it doesn't turn to rain before it stops, be nice to keep the snow cover fresh and decent for tomorrow.

I noticed that the back edge is approaching from the South east, whether it will slide and keep us in the pivot point remains to be seen but eventually it will stop.

Has a short period of wet sleety snow this morning, then it quickly turned to rain, and that's what we've had since.
