Snowing here, nothing deadly heavy but it is sticking on favoured surfaces so perhaps some hope for others tonight because I'm right on sea level so I dont' think anyone should chuck in the towel yet.

My only worry is and especially here, is the rain shadow affect the as NE'ly wind develops, I expect the band to be quite patchy and fragmented by morning and I would not be surprised if I woke up inthe morning with no evidence of snowfall.

That's encouraging. Just saw some actual flakes fly past the lamppost for the first time tonight but it's stopped again.

Only took until 4am...

Lmao one of the worst. I'm a big fan of snow but I really wish we get a good long sunny and warm period after this crap. Hopefully we'll also see some 90's style heat waves too off the back of this blasted mega nino

Nice one. Struggling in chadderton so that extra 50m is helping a lot :)

you've got better elevation at county end than me though but you might suffer with urban warming more though and more traffic ruining snow cover.

About 5cm deep here and still snowing moderately so at about the Met warning amount for my altitude.

I suppose anything more is a bonus then.

temperature at freezing point.

The system seems to be pivoting above the region as forecast with everything now coming from more of a south easterly direction.

Plenty more showing on the radar but there doesn't seem to be anything overly heavy
