Evening northerners! Gate-crashing from the deeep south here. In Blackburn and getting very excited about seeing my first snow in yeeears! Well apart from yesterday but J had a sickness bug so was house bound!

Just had a very heavy burst of sleety rain, it feels bitter stood at the window. Temp must be dropping.

Just go out the bathe to see its started raining again, but at least the rain shadow has moved north, thought it was just going to sit over me all night whilst the rain turned to snow.

There is loads of moisture feeding into this. The radar doesn't show much rain here but it's absolutely lashing it down!

The heavy band has moved north of Manchester now. Much faster than the precipitation charts suggested.

Wait for the pivot, the stuff in Wales is heading east, and the stuff north of Manchester is slowing down. It's also intensifying in places, as I've just had a deluge where the radar wasn't for showing much.

The stuff in Wales looks like losing intensity. The pivot south is now expected till tomorrow morning.
