Temp  has just shot down through the 6s  now the rain has started. A good sign.

I'd put up with Fred Talbot if he was forecasting a foot of snow and gale force easterly winds.

Currently putting weather symbols on his cell wall! :D

I don't know if it's wishful thinking but it looked a little sleety outside.

Good news

Manchester Airport have just updated to Level 3 status for snow and ice overnight.

I don't have any links or charts to back this up,we just get a text message with the latest from

The airport weather centre.

Level 3 sounds like decent snow territory :D looking positive here further north and east then & a bit higher up. I am feeling slightly more optimistic now. Temp and dew are slowly dropping so that is all good as well.

Level five is total closure.
