Chillier than expected out there today. Especially so as these showers pass through. Temp was up around 4c twenty minutes ago but has dropped to 2c as the latest shower dropped its wet snow giving very temporary cover on grass.

Not a bad afternoon after this mornings rain with scattered cloud and some sunny breaks, quite chilly with a high of 6.3c so far and it looks like getting colder still in the coming days, maybe even a frost or two! I'll be more than happy with some dry & bright late winter days.

Just letting you know I am going to Glossop and the Peak District this Sunday what chance do I have of seeing snow either falling or on the ground it will be nice to get some

Another day of heavy showers although less in intensity than yesterday and as with others in the region, a bit of sleet and wet snow mixed in.

maybe a bit more overnight and hopefully a few sry days on the cards.

slider lows....I for one hope they do their sliding well to my South as I'd prefer the certainty of something dry over the possibility of something white.

Depends on the weather, current forecast looks dry but chilly up here, could change..... At least dry for now this week.... Had a few flakes of snow earlier.... Further south in peak district might do better depending on weather systems and how far north they make it.....

Which I really don't understand, everyone seems to be going on about an unstable air flow.

Anyhow if snow is what you are after you can be certain this Region will miss out,it was even snowing

in the South West this morning

The region was prime spot on the 16 January compared to most other places.

Great winters day with loads of sunshine for a change! Very cheery, slight frost this morning which has been a rare occurrence this winter. Currently 6.5c with light winds.

Looking through the forecasts online and tv..... Half going for dry and cold half going for showers or more prolonged precipitation....whatever happens im going to have a walk around ladybower and have some nice pub grub at ladybower inn this weekend.... Whether its in the snow/rain/sunshine....  Itll look pretty whatever the weather....

Rare as hens teeth days like today, very pleasant.  Sadly I fear the dull & grey and unrewarding cold without the snow will take us through the weekend

Long way off but that would deliver snow for much of the region as a front moves into cold air.

There may actually be something wintry around in the form of showers on Fri am going by these charts. As usual better inland, but even if anything fell near the coast may well be fairly wintry. Timing looks ok, temps dewpoints wind direction etc etc. May be something may be nothing, one to keep an eye on.
