The mind boggles - I had always thought that nothing could escape from a black hole but it may be that the following may contradict this:

We think we are getting a good idea of how things happen and then this!

it's a very poorly written article......the matter is not being expelled out of the black hole, rather the enormous magnetic fields in the accretion disk bordering the event horizon twist and break forcing gas and matter to be shot outwards at near relativistic speeds....it is theorized that black holes very slowly give up their mass via a process known as hawking radiation, but for stellar sized or supermassive black holes, this process would take up to a googal years (10^100 years)

Thanks for that APS

Even in the vacuum of free space there still remains over 10 billion electrically active particles of all types per cubic inch that will conduct electricity. This is why space is not empty and the aether really does exist. Maxwell’s equations will not work without it. Einstein was wrong, space is not empty. It is very conductive electrically.

Slightly off topic, but space is not empty its full of unknowns,as for black holes that's another matter, they are probably white holes full of light unknown to the extremely limited physical material world as they are invisible to the naked eye.

Black is white.

Isn't that what Hawking Radiation is?
