I don't get my hopes up when we venture into the realms of marginal, usually ends up the wrong side.

It really is a case of seeing what happens on  the day.

It's also rather fitting in this winter that we end up on the wrong side of marginal.

Hehe! That's being too far east and too near the coast!

It's not the coast, it's elevation. Some folks in Bournemouth are reporting sleet. They're closer to the sea than I am, but parts of Bournemouth are higher up than here.

I've put the webcam up live on my home page: http://www.warehamwx.com/wx/

Thanks for testing it. I saw 10 users log on, mobile & tablet as well.
I wanted to test how much bandwidth I was sending out for each 1 second refresh. It didn't seem to slow me down which is a surprise! It might be that the image inside of the block is scaled down?! I was contemplating setting it at 5 seconds, but as 1 second didn't do much with 10 users on, I guess i may be able to get away with it.

We appear to have a streamer right on top of us here, if only it was colder. I don't recall a streamer ever setting up like this to effect my location, I could be wrong, but rare as a snowflake.

Broken cloud with recent rain shower. Temp 6C and wind WNW 20mph gusting 30.

The situation regarding if, when, where will it snow in the south west quadrant of the UK, and the NE, is still not resolved and probably wont be until the day. Meanwhile of the three systems the GFS is running Friday-Sunday it has the last as the most likely to give a sprinkling. Having said that it does seem likely to be confined to small amounts and mainly on the higher ground.

Hi Mapantz

That is a really impressive set up there, well done. Is the data on your website taken from your Netatmo system or Vantage Vue (im pretty sure you have both systems, from past posts?) Also, is it a bespoke web site that you have built yourself or is it based upon software that anybody can purchase? Interested in building something like this myself for my location, however, don't really know where to begin to be honest? Have a good day!:) You can PM me if preferred to keep the thread uncluttered?

Interesting drive to work today, sleet hail the odd snow flake. Car screen awash with ice splats. Has to be snow in Princetown (sorry AWD)

It would, wouldn't it.  Typical.  I'm off to Dartmoor Zoo today so won't be anywhere near high enough to see anything wintry.

To be honest I thought it was going to be a long shot. The air is just not cold enough.

Yes true enough, so did I, but I always had I bit of hope. Really did need the cold in first.

See fergie has teased everyone with the prospects of a good summer. That's brave considering past Met predictions. Needless to say I won't be dusting the BBQ off just yet lol

So frustrating as these synoptics are perfect (minus the cold) for snow down our parts, low pressure heading through the channel etc etc. One can only wonder what could of been if this set up appeared in January when we did have decent cold air in place.

Well to be fair to fergie he did say at the start of winter, based on the data he had seen, that the back end of winter would be the best chance of cold. It hasn't happened but the synoptics are giving more chances of cold and snow than say December. Close but no cigar. So if he is suggesting summer is potentially good I would be hopeful. Just hope we don't get a warm/hot april as seemingly when it is warm then the rest of spring and summer seem a bit meh!

NK you might be OK as i reckon cotswolds and chilterns are favoured wouldn't take much for you to grab a slice though. EDIT: 6z everything has shifted north so rain for all :80:

Anyone notice that model fatigue is kicking in though, If we had this set up in december i'm sure the MAD thread would be bursting at the seams!
