Apart from Feb 96. The snow in Dorset that special week was awesome.

I am still hopefull by the time the showers reach most of us the sun should be setting...

You might be in with a chance being further east but looking at ppn it is moving more south easterly now than south so I think tonight is a certain bust.. just got to wait on 12z see if we get any hope from that.

Yes, that was cruel. My heart jumped when I read that. You're as bad as those idiots on uksnowmap who post "no snow 1/10".

Still hopeful for tonight: off out with the fam so will be wearing me wellies and gloves in case of trudging home through wastes of white... (well, i can dream!)

Currently 2.3C, DP -1.7C.

Nice I'm over by westerligh common so if you see a almost 30 year old playing out in any snow out that way it will most likely be me! :D

Met office have updated the warnings now we don't even get a warning for ice!

NW predicts rain here 9-12pm, temps 4C. But it also says the temp would be 6C at 3-6pm. It's just down to 2.0C and DP -1.6C.

I can't see that ppn falling as rain, if it gets here, but surely that blob is too big to fizzle out?

I can see I shall be a bit distracted tonight by my NW snow radar app...

Saints 2-0 and Cherries 1-0. Yeh, good omens.

Reports of snow in the 'rain zone' in ST3, ST14, DY14 and B18 postcodes.

Also falling at FY7 and PR9 further north, right on the coast.

Here, the last two minima have been -0.9C and -1.4C, both underwhelming. Maxima both days have been 3.3C, which is actually better than expected. Temperature down to 1.3C as of 4pm.

Current temp here 2.5oC and falling quickly, DP 0oC.

Not expecting much if anything in my location but who knows, a flurry wouldn't be out of the question at some point. It's a half-an-eye-on-the-radar job.

Temperature here now 1.7C.  Some high cloud on horizon to North west.  We do seem to be in the firing line but time will tell!

Met Office have issued a yellow warning for snow in Oxfordshire (but if it could wait til I get home that would be better as 1 flake of snow will probably see Network Rail suspend all services)

Down to 1c at home ready for the damp squib tonight. I doubt we shall see any ppn to be honest.

In comes the cloud to hold the temperature up. What a sorry 'cold spell' this is turning out to be.
