Managed to get right under the centre of the last cell, with heavy graupel making it like a snow scene for a distance of 3/4mile, roads became snow tracks. Either side rainfall, so first chase of the year scores a hit, with the temperature dropping quickly from 7C down to 2C. And now it looks like plain old plain old, back to as it was..

A light shower here, with some graupel and wet snow flakes mixed in. Winter has started.  big_boss.gif

Had a light snow shower in Stroud too. Strange as it was really dry stuff not the wet snow I was expecting if we got any at all.

Loving your vid, Will - I could watch snow falling all day.

May I just add an event that some of you weather nuts might be interested in? It's part of the University of Southampton's Science & Engineering Festival on Saturday 12th March. It's quite a good day out and all free.

Talk Announcement: Oceans and Wild, Weird Weather
**Building 175 Auditorium, Boldrewood**

'The UK weather is strongly linked to conditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Big changes out in the Atlantic may explain the wild and weird weather that we have experienced in recent years.'

More hail here, but this time it seems to be pepping up around here and moving east.

Had one heavy shower half an hour ago, sleet then turned to snow, so snow on the last 2 days here in the showers, started to settle but now melted. Looks like another large shower to the NW of me.
