Still gusting 60+ mph here but the heavy showers have ceased for the time.

Screaming at the mo. Hope that woodshed is well lashed down.

It has also been tweaked further south so misses me by 1 mile  :wallbash: could do with a 5 miles northward adjustment to be safe :D

That's called picking HOLES. You'll be fine, trust me!

Here, take this olive branch, quick though it might blow away but then again so will the snow. :D

Hasn't been too bad here in Yeovil so far, expected a lot worse to be honest. Or has my area not seen the worst of it yet!?

I was as well! The charts suggest more is to come, but the wind isn't even a quarter of what it was last night and there wasn't even a warning out.

Never saw lightning or heard thunder. Highest Gust for me was 40 km/h. at 09:38.  Looking a bit brighter in Peasedown St John.....

Feeling the effect of a straight westerly here in Aztec West, strong gusts almost on a par with Storm Barney. Makes the rain look twice as intense as it actually is when it falls.

Heavy rain and some fierce wind gusts have finally arrived here. Still touch and go but enough to produce a sort of whiplash sound among the trees from time to time.

Very windy here on mendip but winds not as strong as gusts last night .

I suppose stronger winds are expected over lunch time ,i remember back during burns day storm the winds seemed to pick up very suddenly and lasted a couple of hours ,Snow chances more i think come this weekend but we need everything to fall right for us ,but you never know lows a bit further south colder 850s and we could get some fingers crossed .

Looks like there's a chance of some of the white stuff for our area over the weekend. Long way off, i know, at this stage.

They are a bit, but it's nothing like last night- pretty underwhelming here to be honest.

Here's a comparison..

Lol and so the snow hopes begin to rise again to most likely be shattered amongst wailing and gnashing of teeth!

The most impressive feature of Imogen is how rapidly the showers are moving, days like this make the NW Radar a must have for me.

Just a standard windy winters day here, a few lively gusts but nothing like last night, which sounded pretty epic, no wind speeds afraid as haven't downloaded my weather station. Quite a few trees down and fields around the farm have water where I've never seen it lie before. Shame it isn't snow, be some lovely drifts!
