Only a slight covering here, probably not enough to make a snowman but makes it feel like winter none the less....now for a walk in Burnham Beeches! Have a nice day all! ☺

Got a bout 1-2cm here. went to bed after MOTD and there was a very light dusting at about midnight.Woke up about 3.30 this morning and looked out window and it was snowing lightly with the covering w have now. Current temp 0.4 but expect a slow thaw during day with most of snow melting by dusk so those that have snow this morning make the most of it.

Looks like cold and dry till mid week for SE with a slow rise in temps from Thurs to Sat peaking about 8-9 degrees. Still hopeful of a more significant snow event in Feb that hopefully covers the whole of the region. In that respect hope Tamara,s and GPs thoughts are correct :)

Morning all,

This sort of snow reminds me of the warm years 1993 - 2007.

Photos - today (trees), for reference

March 2013 (church gates)

2010 (cars and some bloke)

Will we see proper snow in Feb????????

Nothing at all here. Very sad :(

I was cosy in bed thinking shall I go back to sleep and a little voice said 'go to the window'. Wish I hadn't bothered as can't get back to sleep now lol

Give me north east flow very cold uppers and lines of heavy snow showers off the north sea.we never do well on set ups like last nights

Absolutely right! (Please note those in East Kent posting what an abysmal part of the world etc etc) when we get conditions like matt points out then Essex / East Kent often sweetspot. This set up, I say again, wasnt for us. Brilliant pics btw those with snow!
