So, sit rep here in mid Essex is still zilch falling from the sky, however in happier news I've made a bold decision to go for a dangerous fourth glass of Sav Blanc!

Just drizzle here now :wallbash:

Do we expect the precip type to maintain this boundary or is there any chance those of us to the west might actually see some damn snow?

As well as being a no-fly zone, Horley also a no-snow zone. For now. Don't think the airport will be shut anytime soon!

Light snow here in EG

Well in SW Essex, we are under the 'snow'. Its completely dry here though and has been all evening, so your probably not going to be missing much.

Right! I'm not a kid. I'm 53 years young. It's midnight. My daughter is fast asleep. I live on the 2nd floor. Im holding my eyes open with matchsticks. And for what? I can hardly leave my child and run downstairs to play on my own can I? But still I wait. Still I watch. Still I hope.......

Think those to the east of London may be in the sweet spot tonight

just getting wet here

Alas, I don't think so.  The 00:00 radar return shows the precip fragmenting and getting lighter.  It doesn't look too good for us unless somehow the system gets reinvigorated?  Nothing can be discounted, but my hopes are dwindling on this one.

Still, it's been a hoot on here this evening with still another month and a half of winter to come.  I have a strong feeling that our region might end up being the envy of the Netweather community early to mid February; we shall see.

Don't forget guys, those of you who are watching the radar with precipitation type, i.e, rain, sleet, snow, under light pink (meaning light blue rain) You'd barely see rain, so take into light flakes evaporating and you're not going to see much at all, wait for heavier bands :)

Is the PPN starting to break up on the radar a bit?

DP of -1 temp of 1.

And everything is 20 miles west but looks like I could scrape the edge.

Good old rain here with the odd heavy burst to be heard hitting the conservatory roof but didn't expect anything else as it hasn't even been that cold so far here
