It's a bit of a trek from my sofa to the lamp post these days but reports on here locally get me off the sofa and out the front door. Yes, latest report is of snow, light, but good size flakes, but no settling yet as it feels too damp. This is the first lamp post watch with the new energy efficient, LED street lamps and I'm pleased to say they still work

Moderate wet snow falling. Settling on cars and bin lids but just making everywhere wet! 

Disappointed.

doesnt bode well for areas south of here as my area always does well in these set ups being fairly high up.

Well I can report almost dry surfaces and temp of 2.4ºc here in central London, so what have we robbed??

The main band of ppn that is forecast hasn't even hit the midlands yet, so time will tell.

(Edit: the latest radar shows me in the driest spot possible in London right now, so others will be doing far better, but the radar is certainly picking up in intensity!)
