Black line = Precip but increased risk of marginality the further SW you go

Green line = Prime spot methinks live along that you should get precip and remain cold enough.

Red line = Cold but may be a lack of precip.

I reckon you've got that about spot on.  Chelmsford (and Southend) may just about get in on the act, but I would be quite excited if I was within 10 miles of the green line!

Clear skies here, I look to be right on the edge of this, it could shift east though I guess so it is either clear with freezing fog or cloudy with outbreaks of snow then.

Interesting people keep putting Oxford out of their snow lines. I have it in prime location.  Perhaps I should stop taking bribes from stewfox.

Maybe I feel it won't be that heavy and just get a slight dusting but atm looking at it fall would be enough for me.

I can't believe how Far East it's shifted in a few hours. I really thought Medway would see nothing, now I'm a bit excited

Yep, the phrase 'beggars can't be choosers' springs to mind.

Not sure how up to date, or even if I've got the relevance of this right, but the 850 upper wind direction for midnight shows maybe why there appears to be more of a shunt east than was first thought

Does anyone know of a data feed from a live weather station somewhere inside Epping Forest? I thought the Scout HQ at Gillwell Park would be a good bet but I can't find anything online.

I was up there today and the frost stayed all day above 200ft.

My opinion would be Leeds, Sheffield down to Peterborough, Notts through to London, Thames Estuary. On the previous drawing the red line is beginning at Leeds where the heaviest precip is now pushing in, the red line is the line i would go with.

But then my mind might just be trying to pull it in this direction.

The precip looks like it's dying out. What would make it pep back up again after dark?
