Sunday 27th December General Weather Observations

Cloudy with moderate rain. The front is very adjacent as it runs from here NE through the UK, Temp 13C and wind SW 20mph gusting 30. A rather damp Camborne 00z ascent.

As per normal a mild start to the day high level cloud say 80% coverage

Moderate to heavy rain last night cleared by the early hours. Mild and mostly cloudy this morning, damp underfoot.

Rain moved down from the north  yesterday evening and was heavy for a short time, the heavy rain followed by light-moderate rain which lasted until around 0500 today. The cloud then cleared for a few hours and the grass was crisp with frost by 0800.

Dry and quiet with large amounts of high cloud at present.

Light rain and low cloud in the night before sky's cleared in the early hours to leave a cool dry morning with little wind. A low of 2.8c

Warm front not far from here so people in Sheffield in the sun will find a sudden change to cloud and dull conditions. Quite a marked boundary from the peak district to here.
