Met office weather warnings will be updated about 11am Today,as for those automated weather Gadgets things...Pfftt Waste of time

 ignore them at all costs.

Edit the Graphics for NI on the National Weather this morning looked very nice.

Again cheers Cheshire!! Santa letters wrote with the weans, large cup of coffee, stormy outside and ice road truckers whilst I start the Sunday roast, class!!

Best time to watch the snow is at night for me,Curtains open, beer in hand, staring at the lamp post,Mrs CS thinks I have lost my marbles.

To make things worse she hates cold weather, good luck tonight hope it happens for you, with you altitude you should have no problems.

For my location looks like the curtains will be shut for the immediate future.

Roads are treacherous around here now, very icy. Hopefully the cold air remains with us in the morning and gives us some of the white stuff.

6 degrees here, 150 miles south of you!!! Mind you, it was a stormy wet and windy day here and very interesting. Good luck to you all up there tonight, I want pics and some lamp-post snaps on my desk by morning!!! :-)

FI yes but nice to see and a continuing trend in the GFS output. Definitely think we will see something colder in the run up to Xmas and maybe even a major cold spell as we head in to the new year!

Heavy rain all morning, and becoming quite mild. 12.4C now, with few spots reporting 14C, while 1C is still being reported further north. An impressive temperature contrast across Ireland today!
