A bright and cold day here, with the snow in the shade and the local hills surviving the day. Got down to -1.8C at around 4pm but has subsequently claimed back up to -0.7C.

Next band of snow incoming from the NW according to the radar? Anyone from Inverness area getting another fall?

Aye just home. Heavy snow here and on a9 from Inverness southward (Daviot/Moy). Closest thing to a lamp post I can use is the back light

Steady light snow  on now  mostly small flakes     currently  0.5c. Frost lay in the shade all day.

Still going here, wasn't really expecting this tonight. Thought we might get a flurry but it's been constant light to moderate snow for over an hour. Got a 'good covering', maybe 1cm at the very max.

Heavy snow has turned into heavy rain and wet snow here again as was the case last night - Loch Glascarnoch and Aviemore also seem to be reporting the liquid variety now. Perils of an early fall! Many more falls to come which are much less marginal I assume / hope!

Been slagging it down for the last couple of hours here.  Delightful start to proper winter.  At least tomorrow should be a bit better.

Just sitting watching I'm a celebrity after getting the kids...well the youngest ones to bed and the wife casually says did you see the snow..

Did I see the ******* what???

Jumpnto window and sure enough there has been a dusting and I've missed my first flakes of the season...I'm actually finding it slightly amusing
