Er still snowing but road black again. Pavement white and grass. Don't expect much in the morning.

I see the pub run has delivered an interesting Fl !

Yep, looks like it was hitting the 'hard stuff' tonight. If that outcome came to pass it really would blow quite a few 'El Nino year' theories out the window.

Sounding windy outside, but little on the radar so it's time to call it a night and see what the morning brings.

Can't upload a photo for some reason. A covering here with snow still falling, nothing crazy for November but still nice to see :)

Snow settling in Moffat :-)

Edit ... there're coos in the field next to the house and they're a wee bit exited by it going by the racket they're making !

Might remember that last winter I was complaining that my weather station wasn't recording the temperature properly during the day. Well I finally found a place in my garden where it doesn't have too much of an effect. Each night I give my weather stats for the previous night and that day, and also give a weather forecast for Grangemouth for that night, the following day and an outlook for further ahead on a twitter page @as_weather for anyone who's interested. The coldest night of the autumn before tonight was 1.8C so I've already beaten that tonight. I'll try and put my stats on here each night too if I can remember. Wind has picked up and now up to 3.0C

Thursday Night Minimum Temperature: 5.1C

Friday Maximum Temperature: 6.2C

Current Pressure: 1008.0mb

Last 24 Hours Rainfall: 2.1mm

4C now and the ground's bone dry after some strong windiness up till about 11 or so.  Temp's forecast to drop again which may allow a dusting before dawn.

Woke up to go to work at 3:30.. Very slight dusting of snow from that short lived shower that passed probably around midnight.. Drove into Glasgow and roads are a disgrace.. Lower levels have had rain and no roads are gritted.. Remember Glasgow don't grit there roads as this seems to be the norm.. Some roads dry mainly in and around areas with Tenements or where wind has managed to dry off otherwise lots of ice about..

The snow had started to gather on some surfaces before I went to bed last night, but it's all gone now. The grass is slightly frozen but no sign of white frost due to the wind. It's currently 1.1ºC but feeling raw in the breeze. Maybe next time with the snow? :(:)

1.2C here with a light dusting of snow. Looks like that's fresh, with little left of the heavier stuff that fell last night. Squinting out one of the windows I can just see the local hills and they look like they have a winter coat on.

Plenty of good shower action going on according to the radar, pity it's virtually all out over the North Sea.
