It's ever so light here in Coatbridge but rain at the moment, I think it's about 3c, hopefully it will cool down a bit soon.

It's rain all the way on the traffic cams so far. Even on the higher ones.

The BBC forecasts certainly looked as if this afternoon there would be some showery rain with maybe some sleet before turning to snow this evening as colder air moved in. Not surprised that it's mostly rain just now. Although I am surprised how far north the rain has got at this time

The rain has turned to snow here, very light though.

Hopefully just enough rain to soak the place so that when it does turn to snow later it struggles to stick LOL

I am well surprised too to see that ppn is going to be here in no time at all. Temp is 1.5 and dp around 0 so we might just have a chance to see something other than cold rain for a change. If not, at least the hills will get some fresh cover.

Yet another badly forecasted band of ppn, I seriously thought it was going to stay south of the Forth, most models projected it to do that and so did the beebs in the morning!

Looks like a dusting of new snow M74 Beattock from the shower that passed over.

EDIT South of Beattock visible on this cam. Defintely snawing and heading for fort SS.

I'm going to ignore the radar this evening - checking that thing regularly would do your health a disservice!

I know where you are coming from on this one :) Can we go (mostly) radar free? Probs not.

Snow in Crieff ATM ! Hopefully it'll last a wee while.

oooh didn't expect that....nudge it over

rain today has red everywhere around us for next 2 hours but says it will be rain in perth and luncarty... its only getting colder and feeling very bitter so confident if precip gets heavy enough it will be snow

The usual for Skye, nae snaw! Very cold though and we did have some lovely crisp sunshine in Portree, which also had a teensy covering of graupelly stuff. I'm not hoping for much more than that so I won't be too disappointed. Bad news is a neighbours dog got loose and headed into our garden. We are now down one chicken and I hope the neighbour will be understanding in the compensation department! I've made sure our remaining chook is tucked up in her hut. The ducks are another matter as they are not keen on going into their hut preferring to stay outside at night. The dog was eyeing them up too. The OH is currently dragging said dog home on a rope. Watch this space.
