Raining hard here. Temp of 2.1, dp of 1.3 so not a chance of snow unless things change significantly. SO pleased for those of you with snow, think this is our third winter of nothing now?!

We get up to over 600ft in this part of Warwickshire, I'm at 400ft, that helps a lot. this is the highest ground between here and the east coast

Report from  central Solihull..

Temperature dropping.... Now down to 0.8, with dewpoint of -0.5.

Been sleating heavily with some flakes for about 30 mins though it has got lighter again now.

Car roofs just covering with windscreens also blocking.

When the heavier stuff 'up north' gets here it could well settle now.

Well see.

Good luck everyone.

It looks as if Bham is the dividing line as the forecasts said this morning, though it has been delayed slightly.

Settling now over cars and pavement's in the space of five mins and the ground was wet through......THERE'S HOPE FOR ALL :D

I don't think Brum is the dividing line as I am south east of it and we have proper rain and higher temps than most areas.

EURO4 at least has a little light snow over us around 6am in the morning. Pathetic still really to what could have been. Had our name all over it till this morning. :(

I can see the orange glow to my east since my house faces east. It's been trying for a good hour to snow but just won't switch

Keep the faith, Serendipity! Your temperature and dp are pretty much what I was recording just an hour ago - now we're at 0.8°C and 0.2°C and falling fast.

I think you're just an hour or so behind us, that's all :)

I am honestly so disappointed. I just went outside and all I felt was heavy raindrops... to think that could be huge flakes of snow falling :( I'm going to formally complain about the weather here...

Keep the faith its slowly moving south from the north north east..

It has only just reached Knowle and places a bit further south. The temp has dropped from 2.2c to now 0.7C in an hour as the the heavier stuff reached here.

Rain til 2 am and then snow according to my iphone weather but it has changed literally  ever half hour all day. We are always just too low I think. No idea re Met O, never understand how to get a detailed forecast from them.
