Had about 1.5 cm here, but still has managed to bring traffic to a stand still in some areas, lots of bumps.

People being impatient pulling out of side roads etc.

Not at work today so I think i'll leave the car at home and go try out my new boots,

3cm here at 280m and 4cm at 320 m. The snow had just started to drift above 320m when it stopped and the temperature rose a little. The fields are green below about 190 m.

There was certainly at least a dusting of snow here this morning, all gone now though with the temperature currently at 5.8C.

A slushy 1CM or so of snow in Stoke. The precip turned sleety between J14 and J15 on the M6 in the usual higher spots but it wasn't settling here. As I made the drive north of Hanley it was settling and causing chaos on the roads right in time for rush hour. There was traffic queueing on any road possible, even the tiny side streets. Most of it was still queueing even when the snow had melted pretty much, god knows why! A nice surprise snowfall anyway, the 4th I think of the seasonl.

Please to see Many of you have had some snow today as for here in these parts of Birmingham we only had rain as usial. This winter like winter 13-14 and 14-15 is really really taking the jaffa cakes personalley I think any1 from Birmingham south can forget setteling snow this year. I know many of you will tell me about March2013 but if I remember ritely March2013 was 1 in a 50 year event.

My 252 plus your 104 would be more to my liking if i'm honest:cold:

Went for that walk, temps far too high for it to last long though.

Wind and rain this morning so i'll get my airbrush out and do some painting

Good morning everyone.

7 years ago this week, we had a brilliant return to conditions that many of us thought were gone for good around here. I remember big sighs of relief around all the weather forums.

Boy, could we use a week like that now!

Afternoon, folks. Well, here it is: every time we have a mild, wet winter, I get a horrendous cough/cold/flu bug. Last winter wasn't too bad as it was fairly dry and sunny, but this one has been awful. I dread the thought of this happening every winter.

On a brighter note, the weather this coming week looks... oh. Okay. Not actually a brighter note at all.

For form's sake: 9.6 °C, murky, grey, windy and all-round dismal.

Thought it worthwhile mentioning another spring like day here (not).

Been rain of varying intensity here for the last 6 hrs.

The wind has also now started to pick up.  Wonderful as the rain is now hammering against the windows.

Current temp 9.8C and rising slowly.

Rain 10.8mms  last 24 hours

Report from Solihull...

Temperature now dropping quickly.

Wind blowing strongly. Gusting to 10mph (thats a lot for my sheltered garden!)

Its .......ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss' absolutely bucketing down!:girl_devil::nonono::diablo:

Had 25.8mms in the last 24 hours now. Including 5mms in the last hour.

With the wind, my station  will be under recording the actual rainfall. Wouldn't be surprised if there is not some local flooding around.

Temperature currently at 8.6C..
