Keep the faith, Serendipity! Your temperature and dp are pretty much what I was recording just an hour ago - now we're at 0.8°C and 0.2°C and falling fast.

I think you're just an hour or so behind us, that's all :)

Bish

Dp just risen to 1.4 so I a not holding my breath!

Rain til 2 am and then snow according to my iphone weather but it has changed literally  ever half hour all day. We are always just too low I think. No idea re Met O, never understand how to get a detailed forecast from them.

Yeah, by correct to the minute, I meant they said it would be (on my iPhone MetO app) sleety snow from 11pm, and it started at about 5 to 11 - it's no more detailed than that really.

im just hoping we get the heavy snow forecast from midnight, although it's still pretty sleety, so not too convinced about that!

Are you going to stay up till 2am?

Snowing nicely and settling. Only a dusting so far but it's coming down quickly so hopefully I can squeeze a couple of cms out of tonight.

No, I can't see any reason to as the dew point is rising and the rain is heavy but looking at the radar that will die off soon and then I don't think we will be under the band, we are too far west I think.

I don't know why you miss out on snow so often - you're not far down the road from here really!

Wish I could send you some doll!

( Mind you, mine - such as it is - is fizzling out right now! Sigh)

It's gutting tbh, look out the window East and the sky is full of it, just a smidge to far west

Burst of snow then for a few minutes.

As i thought, the conditions would have been ok for snow at this elevation, its simply the lack of any meaningful precip to the west of brum.

Surprised at reports of no snow in Northampton. It's been coming down pretty heavy here. A good 3cm on the grass, only a 1cm on the roads.

HOLD THE PRESS!

Some SLEET here now. By that I mean about 3 snowflakes mixed in the heavier drizzle.
