How long are these showers meant to carry on for?

Probably through until the early hours before largely clearing by morning.

Euro4 is looking keen to develop a feature for the north Midlands late tomorrow afternoon. Conditions may be a little more marginal by then, however.

And now the temperature is rising -- oh joy! Was 0.6 °C half an hour ago, but now it's 1.4 °C. Why do I put myself through this torture every winter? At least it's not raining, I suppose...

Where have the snow showers on Sunday come from? I thought it was meant to be dry all weekend?

Not entirely sure where they've pulled that from, looks as clear as a bell for Sunday from what I'm looking at!

Absolute pants still here, we had one very wet snow shower an hour ago that melted straightaway, now it's sleeting- what have we done this time? Was supposed to be our turn not the West Midlands again

We had 1cm on Jan 14th last year, and a bit on 26/7 Dec 2014. Last "proper" snow was in early 2013 though.

Indeed same here. Maybe very light flurries at best but even I can't really see that. Perhaps slowly growing support for some snowfall on Monday. Seems the front at the present time might edge to is enough and bump into the cold for some wintriness. Bound to change more though!

GFS and EC say so, yet the FAX charts have fronts held out to the west. Bloody nightmare.

Ah, it's not going to happen tonight. Not even one flake. Going to call it a night and hope for something better in the future. Good luck to everyone else, and I hope everyone gets some snow eventually.

It is now cloudy over Coventry, but the only flakes are in a box with the name Kelloggss on the side.
