Mostly clear overnight, thick fog forming towards dawn, visibility <100 yards. Fog lifting towards observation, turning sunny here, though fog in the lowest part of the Trent valley didn't lift until around midday. The afternoon, mainly sunny, again feeling quite pleasant with just a light wind throughout.

A clear night but fog developed in the Derwent valley by 0300 g.m.t and gradually spread up the hillsides to reach the 280 m level by 0730 g.m.t; it then slowly receded and had completely cleared by 0930 g.m.t.

A foggy/misty start lingering for a short while, then cloudy but bright with some sun. Cloud thinned out afternoon to a warm and sunny afternoon.

Another cold and foggy start clearing to cloud and then burning off almost completely by the afternoon. There was an unusually high diurnal range for September in this part of the world, with the low this morning little more than a degree above the record.

Early morning fog reached the 280m level before dispersing by 0830 g.m.t. The early morning was sunny but it became more cloudy during mid to late morning as Cu humilis developed, this cloud dispersed again by 1330 and the rest of the afternoon was sunny.
