Casnewydd 2-1 Caerlyr

Da iawn Casnewydd

With regard to the comments above, there are no midweek fixtures this week, so all sides should field strong sides, if there was a midweek league game it might be different.

Spurs, Chelsea, City and Burton are playing midweek in the Carabao cup so I suppose those sides could be excused for making some changes but no excuses for the others

What is it with the lower Premier League clubs and the FA Cup.

three out of the bottom four already out to lower league opposition.

two more only managed draws and  we huffed and puffed at home and needed a 92nd minute penalty to get passed a team two divisions lower.

yes Premier League survival is worth far more financially than a good cup run and cup upsets happened long before it is believed Sky invented football in the early 90’s but a lot of the Premier League and Championship sides just don’t look interested anymore.

From a business point of view, sure, Premier League survival is more valuable than a cup run.

But it is sad. From a fans point of view, getting to the quarter finals of a cup and daring to dream is far more enjoyable and memorable than finishing 10th over 11th. I was absolutely gutted when we lost the 2008 FA Cup semi-final. Mostly because Portsmouth cheated but still...

Lovren has done his hamstring after 2 minutes so 16-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever comes on in his place

An absolutely dreadful game neither team looks interested

Maybe the Wolves goal will liven it up

Indeed. A complete contrast to Newport v Leicester yesterday, that's for sure.

They weren't interested tonight absolutely dreadful performance and no excuse for that weak lineup.

5 or 6 PL sides gone now the magic of the cup is long gone for many teams

I know he is concentrating on the league but Liverpool haven't won a trophy for years and every final klopp has got in with them he has lost, not a good record, so you cannot be fielding teams like that with his record

Boro's home draw with Newport County makes it our 9th home match in a row in the FA Cup

Our last away game was on Sunday 15th February 2015 at Arsenal where we lost 2-0
