Liverpool 1-1 with league 2 Carlisle in the capital one cup with 15 mins left

Rogers will be getting very close to the exit door if they go out tonight

Newcastle out to Sheffield Wednesday

An absoloute disgrace of a performance, one flaming shot on target and barely threatened. Oh well, this what happens when you trying to mould a lot of foreign players together in a mid table size club, they don't care about the club, they just want to use us as a stepping stone to get a bigger move although they are not doing themselves any favours. The confidence is just totally gone also, its going to be a very long season, I'll fear we will do a QPR this season. I just wonder how long it will be before the pressure will get too much for McClaren, he is hardly known to battle through increasing pressure.... E.g Notts Forest...

Yes Liverpool may be drawing against a League 2 side but look at the stats, its totally suggest they are well on top and completely dominating the match and if for better finishing, they would be thrashing Carlisle. Its not like they are hardly struggling against them in open play, its just getting the ball into the net they are struggling.

Cheers Gavin.

Another feeble attempt at a cup run from us is over. But as long as we finish above 18th it's all hunky dory right?

Same here, though losing to Man Utd isn't much of a surprise.

Last 16, woo hoo. Yonks since we had a decent cup run. Didn't go tonight, but I might board the bandwagon should we get to the quarters.

Well done to Walsall getting this far imo. Getting a goal against Chelsea too, not bad!

They're hardly the lowest ranked side to make it to this stage though to be fair. Much bigger kudos to Carlisle from me.

Glad we are out of the Europa league and the Capital cup...have no interest in either competition..TBH not fussed if we go out of the FA cup in the third round either.

So I'm guessing you aspire to achieve nothing? I mean, like most of the league, West Ham will never win the PL. Once we're out of the cup competitions that's pretty much my interest in the season over.

there is no kudos to winning either competition anymore..both are played out with 2nd or 3rd string players... honestly just scrap them esp the capital cup..and put the prestige back into the FA cup..there was a time when winning the FA cup carried as much weight as winning the league...West Ham will never win the PL I agree..we may over time given the right set up and management give the top 4/6 a run for their money or at least challenge Spurs position in the league and in London.
