After a brief lull then strong to gale force winds during Monday across Ireland & Western Scotland, the strongest winds then transfer into N England & N Wales with gusts around 55mph+, also the N Isles could catch gusts over 60mph.

Yes top gust across England so far today is 53 mph at Odiham. Some other places have reported gusts just over 50 mph as well. Most places are seeing gusts in the range of 40 mph at the moment. By 6pm today the wind speeds should start to drop down.

Quite windy up the western side of UK atm with gusts in the 40-60mph range. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

Further windy weather tomorrow, nothing too extreme with wind gusts around 50-60mph across the north, very strong winds to the lee of high ground in NE England so the A1 could be a bit dodgy for high sided vehicles & caravans etc.

Nope no official name from the Met Office, it will be very windy but widespread significant impacts and higher level of warning look very unlikely.

Next weekend may do it for naming storms.  Apart from Monday it looks a fairly uneventful week once again.

The wettest and windiest weather of the autumn so far, very heavy rain and gusts into the 50's, a few locations recording gusts around 60mph over western UK this afternoon. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

Very wet and windy in Carlisle. Rivers are starting to respond

More rain to come this week so the river levels will continue to rise.

How much rain is expected

Looking at the GFS accumulated ppn over the next week some parts of Cumbria cold get over 100mm or more of rain, Western Scotland could get twice that amount.

Yeah, some locations over the next week or so could well experience some flooding issues, one to watch!

Went out before and many drains were blocked with leaves blown down in the wind, so surface water flooding is already an issue.

bit of a lull here until tomorrow morning when it should be the windiest so far

Could you put your location into your avatar please so we know where you are in the country, cheers :D

Really looking forward to flying back to the UK next week, just like 2013...where's my sickbag?! On a serious note, I really hope you folks don't get flooding. Those images from back then are awful, and some folks are still not back in their homes. Have seen the mention on the MO of snow over the Pennines. 102km/h gusts recorded on the west coast on Meteociel...mmllaahh!
