atlantic Tropical Storm Henri

Tropical Depression 8 has formed near Bermuda. It will be caught by a trough late in the week so has little time as it heads north. Its large so won't develop too quickly but it should be 60mph when it goes extra-tropical and hits the jet.

Now Tropical Storm Henri (cool name), 40mph but still forecast to reach 60mph before it hits the jet.

The NHC were very generous in naming this 'monster'.....it is so puny, the global models are not showing a discrete feature and it has to be highlighted by a symbol. Obviously a slow year in the Atlantic - grab a headline while you can.

It meets the requirements to be fair. 45mph sustained with higher gusts is still a bad windstorm.
