It’s what happens with Ole in charge. Seen enough of the same pattern now. Get beaten by someone like Istanbul then go and comfortably beat City 2-0. He can beat any team but lose to any team. The coaching just isn’t there I think.

A squad like that should be okay even with 10 men against a team like Young Boys.

Well yeah that’s what I’m saying. Ole is quite clearly out of his depth with the squad he has. It’s madness to keep persisting with him when Conte is available (who I think would virtually guarantee us a title with this squad).

Love playing Porto.  Easy game tonight.

"Group of Death" already looking quite smooth for Liverpool.

Curtis Jones showed last night exactly why we're not going to miss Harvey😉

Agreed.. He's really good on the ball - If he can be consistent and add more goals to his game he'll be a star.

Man United are struggling in what I thought was an easy group for them

It is an easy group (for Champions League standards).  They're just making a meal out of it like they're doing in a lot of their matches currently.

We got a bit lucky tonight but it was a good enough performance for me to be satisfied👍

    Who's Harvey?

Great result with 3-2 for pool against A Madrid   (2-3).

9 points now from 3 games, really only need 1 more point and goal diff should do the rest.

They were 'fortunate' (not lucky) that they had a good German ref last night.

He got all the decisions correct, even if he did have to consult VAR for his penalty non-award to A Madrid.

The sending off looked similar to the one suffered by Mane when they played Man City and it  resulted in the title being won by City. (I think?). I think it was accidental, but it was dangerous.

So perhaps things even themselves up after all.

Speaking of which,  I see the toffees are now moaning about the loss of Calvert Lewin and Recarlason at the same time.

     Perhaps, poetic??

Seeing it again I think it was a red, Firminho wasn't ducking down, he was upright and he still got kicked in the ear, red all day, whether an accident or not. You can't go kicking people in the head, as Mane discovered lol. It was a nice dive by the Athletico player for the penalty that wasn't. Liverpool's defence needs to get a grip if they are to win their 7th Champions League.

Following the same pattern it always does. Ole's job comes under pressure and we get a result. Stuck in limbo perpetually. Not good enough to challenge but not failing enough for the manager to be sacked.

    Sick and tired of it.

We'll get a result against either 'Pool or City to allow Ole to keep his job a bit longer again.

It would be sods law that u beat Liverpool and keep Ole in a job, whilst it only papers over the cracks,

It's happened again and again throughout his tenure. Tough decisions need to be made by the board...which I think involves thanking him for his work but ultimately letting him go for someone more tactically astute.
