Var not much use with that penalty sort of defeats the object of it in a way

Yeah, suppose it’s the Umpire’s call approach to avoid undermining the ref. Not one pundit on BT has criticised Abrahams for the dive, as far as I can tell.

Ref made the wrong call but hard to blame her really uefa should have had an angle like BT found they'd have defo overturned the decision if they did

I thought the female officials had a good game tonight ignoring the penalty couple of goals ruled out for offside which were correct

Wouldn't surprise me if they gets some games in the champions League soon

Decent game  although mainly due to the game being littered with mistakes  mainly due to the pitch and the heat  VAR  will the less said about that the better.  VAR in itself its a good tool to have its just the interpretation of rules hat is my main annoyance.   First  i think  most can agree that the penalty decision was wrong   however with the Money FIFA and UEFa have   it baffles me that a broadcaster can have access to more camera angles  than VAR has   Secondly  and what kind of went under the radar was the Penalty shout within the first 5 minutes.  Now i will start by saying i wouldnt class the incident as a penalty  however due to rule changes  the ball was seen clearly to have hit  the chelsea defenders hands  infact they were raised  and it certainly changed the direction of the ball.  The new rules state it should have been a penalty   in fact it was more blatant then the penalty Lpool got in the cl final.  However on this occasion VAR did not even look at the incident.  This particular gripes me as during last weekends Premier league game  Wolves had a goal  struck of because  the ball  brushed Bolys arm as pinball happened in the box  the ball hit him at much closer range than the chelsea defender  and hardly deflected at all.    Also whose  stupid idea it is to keep the flag down on a offside  call?.    players play offside  the player is clearly off  and the flag stays down  AHHHHh   leave the bloody game alone

Note to Lampard don't take a defender off for a striker when you're 0-0
