My mate went out to Monaco along with about 5000 others and very disappointed with performance. Not quite sure why Vertongen didnt start unless he wasnt 100%.surely he wasnt rested for Saturday? Defensively we missed him and also without Toby it was a big ask.As BB just said we have just not hit the heights of last season. Only Man City home game have we played really well this season. Well done to Leicester tonight though.Good Luck to them:)

Vertongen has been a better player this season alongside Toby A......but no Toby lately has meant Vertongen not looking so great imo.

For me Toby and Van Dyke for Southampton have been the best 2 Centre Halves this season.Jan is pretty steady and hopefully they will reform partnership on Saturday against Chelski-We will bloody need them lol!!

Being away to Bayern in the first leg could well help us but just goes to show even winning the group doesn't get you a 'lesser' team.

On the flip side, that's a guaranteed top 4 finish for Arsenal in the league. Same pattern every year. Saying this, I don't think they deserve a place in the CL, it's a wasted one IMO!

As an Arsenal fan, pains me to say it, but Alexis Sanchez really should leave. He clearly has ambitions beyond making the top four every year and wants to win stuff and he needs to be at a Club that shares that goal.

No great surprises last night. As Roy Keane said, anyone that felt Arsenal had a real chance over two legs against BM was deluding themselves.

Trouble is what usually happens after a result like last night is that we then go on a half decent run, secure a top four position and then the cycle starts again!

3-2 to Monaco. Some horrific city mistakes at times but can't fault that goal

That was intense to watch. Lordy. Yet Monaco only need a 2-0 win in the next leg and they through

Why didn't we see that Falcao when he was at United? He was always a world class finisher until that injury seemingly robbed him of a couple of years of his career.
