Thunder lighting in Cardiff radar hotting up !...

storm centre just passimg west of me, fairly frequent thunder, the odd crack, some lightning flashes but fairly bright to east so not many really visible. Rainfall at about Moderate+_ on rain gauge but much heavier judging from noise in trees at end of garden!

Another shower passed by - but fairly light, few cracks of thunder. Another one to the SE but I suspect it will pass by along the M1 like the last one.

 

Seriously - the M1 must be the thundriest place in northern England, because without fail the storms track along up there.

Few flashes and lots of rumbles of thunder here in Cardiff, best all summer, so im happy!

So much thunder here! Hardly seen any lightning to be honest, but the thunder alone is very impressive. It's almost cleared here now, just light rain now but the thunder still very audible every 5-10 seconds.

 

Stifling when the sun comes back out. I'll radar watch and see if there are any more photo opportunities to come

Lighting from the cell travelling up from Wells to to Bristol, absolutely hammered it down and lighting for about 15 mins whilst heading north, photo was taking looking south at the Mendips with cell moving towards me about 30 mins ago

Nice storm here, constant thunder, torrential rain and some pea sized hail mixed in for good measure, now rumbling away to the north.

So aganising seeing these storms pass just east of me. That last major outbreak a couple of months ago major storm were just narrowly west of me.
