In my opinion nobody except those in the Extreme SE have much chance tonight.

Cheers Cableguy. Its raining now, only lightly.

Been humid last two weeks in Barc and three occasions of Cape in the thousands and LI below -5

One TS grazed us that was it ! :(

Just goes to show that you still need a trigger

Did see the monster (supercell maybe) way way off in distance (over 100 miles away) on Blitz looked crazy

Ws last week and over mid South France somewhere

Hmmm. That storm near St Malo area looks like it could hit London in a few hours or so.

In my personal forecast, anywhere from say East Devon or Dorset across to East Anglia has a chance tonight, with the risk being increased the further SE you go. Kent would be my optimum location.

I know.. But it's an ingredient isn't it?

Also..

Looks good, destabilising a lot further West than forecast..

Not as forecast by estofex. They have anticipated initiating as far west as Brittany.

Fine place I say! Between us two and TN26 hopefully we'll have a lot to report. Can see some cauliflowers off to the east though didn't notice any flashes yet.

Northern France going nuts - like last night, question mark is where the storms will track. Need a more NE shunt than the ENE track last night!

Looks to be on the same track the cells last night. the ones over north East France. We need to look more west for ours. It's 50/50 at the moment

Everything far too East, even for those in the SE corner by the looks of it although im sure theyll still get a distant light show from the impressive storms over France currently

Storms in almost exactly the same places as last night, for the Benelux and North-East France.

With the direction they're heading, I'm sceptical to believe that even East Kent will see anything tonight.

Probably a bit too west for me but fosters at the ready to either celebrate or drown sorrows. Looking gloomy out there.

Right. Game over me thinks. Cannot see anything remotely promising now. Everything erupting the other side of the water. Brittany storm is all but gone.

Enjoy your 2nd night disco Belgians and frenchies you lucky sods.

There was never a real chance north of London.

Still strikes from the cells pushing out off NW France, currently sferics around Channel Islands ... though nowhere near as active as those approaching the Dover Straits.

But unless you are in east Kent, potential ATM lies with storms currently around the CIs and Cherbourg Peninsula holding together or even expanding as a trough that's generating them heads towards S/SE England.

Can see near constant flashes towards my southeast. It's so close, may have to buy a boat so I can head out to sea!

My lightning detector is going like crazy at over 120 strikes/ min and warning of a severe storm which to date I have never heard it do !!

Having said that it looks as though its going to miss us !
