I can hear pretty much constant thunder but can't tell where it's coming from??

Would love an experts opinion on what's due for the rest of the night. Really can't see much happening tbh. Little over France.

Think this one is about the busiest day we've had - since having the ATD at least. Peaked at 10k strikes an hour. (June 2012)

Being old and fuddy duddy I can't remember the year but I think you'll find it was one huge storm but by bad luck we missed out on. Never seen anything like it since. Today was very localized as well. I was sat in a pub some heavy bursts but nothing like what my friend say five minutes up the road. A day of thundery showers but nothing majorly off note.

Trying to work out which forecast was right. You can argue the met was right and the gfs was right.

Another storm rumbled through here, this time with very bright pink lightning.

Surely that's it for today - we've copped out.

It's not a very violent storm but I don't remember seeing such frequent lightning in this country. August 2003 was probably the last time.

It looks mental to the west of here. Dark purple sky.

Most active storm in living memory in Shropshire,  the thunder was constance/ lightning trigger on the camera constantly triggering.

I have never heard thunder like it, constant train noise rolling non stop for 30-40 minutes.

Strike rate recorded 202 per minute during the most active part.

Well what a day, I can only describe it as being like Orlando or somewhere tropical. The heat and humidity this morning and early afternoon was crazy, you dont often get days like that round here. The muggyness just felt like a storm was inevitable and sure enough it did come.  Just like an August day in Florida!

On the western fringe of the shrops/cheshire storm. Not sure wether we'd get anything from that beast, however it does look to be building eastwards along the line.
